first mike himself gave a couple of reasons why the silk is going to cost more...no one wanted to hear the truth so they ignored it and just pretended it was never addressed by anyone...
i dont know if i ever said "much" more but i certainly said more...in any case, theres been years of research, trial and error, modifications, problems to overcome, spinning experts, more modifications, etc etc...all this AFTER the big breakthrough of ms...the idea that the silk is going to come from the cocoons, just right, without any further processing is just ridiculous...
why do you think kim and jon will only say the "rearing" of the silkworms is the same as normal silk worms?...because they want to mislead everyone into thinking the whole process is the same even though they have never once said so...
there are other initial costs that have to be accounted for which first mike mentioned...but that isnt all of them either...
THINK about the situation!...QUESTION things!...dont just see the worm on the hook and swallow it...
