#30556 RE: firehorse #30555

The company needs to do useful and timely communications, and not make fluffy obscure references. Their website was too static, held no real useful information, and seemed only to be updated after several months, it was nearly completely useless (as was their last one).

Even though I thought the Larry King interview went well, it could have been much better. Instead of bring a list he couldn't read, Stan should have had props (pictures and comics) and clips for Larry King to show. When talking about Chakra, Stan should have turned around and picked one of the comics off the rack fore the camera to see, the Larry could have played a clip from one of the shorts, while flashing the ToonsTV website address. When talking about "Lucky Man", Stan could have pulled out a picture of James Nesbit (maybe they could have gotten a clip from the show, it would have been an exclusive in the US). And instead of just referring to a Chinese and Latino superhero, why oh why can't Stan use their names and mention the companies that are working on them. Larry mentioned the Comikaze Expo, they could have flashed the website (date and location) as well as pictures from last years. Yep, could have gone a lot better. It might have been on the list, Stan could not read, but Stan didn't even mention the "motion picture" POW! was involved with shooting a few months ago. It would have taken very little effort for them to do a lot better.

I won't even critique the poor job Stan and Gill did at San Diego con. Stan needs someone younger, knowledgeable, and nearly as enthusiastic as him to partner with in interviews and panel discussion, someone to remember to hit all the talking points. Gill was just too dull and uninteresting when talking.

Looking at news on the internet, the thing most reported from the Larry King show was, why Stan thinks that the Fantastic Four movie was a flop (he didn't have a cameo). No one cared about the Latino and Chinese superheroes with no name. No one cared that "Lucky man" is going to air months earlier.

I do like the fact the "Lucky Man" has moved to a January start date, it puts potential revenue from the show in the first quarter, instead of the second or third.

It was also good that the clip on Stan's Twitter page was a POW! project and not the Fantastic Four reference.

Lack of proper communications is easy to fix, but, it's been broken for years and still remains broken.

Maybe they can do better at the Comikaze Expo. Stan said they had a lot to unveil there.

Most of their website is working. Nothing looks like it has changed. I get a server error when I click on Corporate Information (no big surprise there).

POW!'s website has been updated with last weeks news. Looks like they have been updating it every two months, plus or minus a few days.

The news also finally made it to StanLee'sKidsUniverse Facebook page.

Still not on TheRealStanLee website, Stan's Facebook or Twitter pages.

C'mon Stan Lee, you are letting down your Latino fans, push the news out there.

Oddly, the Stan Lee's Mighty 7 Facebook page doesn't have the news either. I'm not sure if we blame Andy Heyward, Stan Lee, or Archie Comics for that one (probably Andy). It should be embarrassing that the Facebook page hasn't been updated since May 2014.
