Technically the chart found a recent bottom and the catalysts are lining up (FDA MRTP for Brand A, joint ventures, new product distribution deals for Red and Magic). In the short term, new institutional ownership by Soros and Goldman was reported, and the litigation is quickly facing a decision that investors generally believe will be favorable for the Company.
Because there actually is some meat to these catalysts, and the balance sheet is improving, maybe some shorts cashed their coin and got out. Volume is still really light given the dramatic increase in price action.
