I can testify to one of those companies - SMS Active. Lost a ton of money in a company that kept selling stock rather than building a company. Had great technology around 2000 - texting - can you believe it? He was in texting technology then. Could have built a company worth hundreds of millions. All he did was sell stock and take the money.
