Stupid or not, she's still out there doing her thing, with no visible repercussions. The wheels of justice, such as they exist in this country, grind slowly - but I am not convinced they will ever touch Margrit. Bernie Madoff got away with it for a long time prior to his arrest - but he bilked the wealthy, so they screamed loudly and with impact. May not be the same here......we will see.
