The pincount difference between socket 754 and 940 is quite small. That means 754 may have a lot of stuff. For example:

940 = 128 bit memory + 3 16 bit HT
754 = 128 bit memory + 1 16 bit HT + 1 8 bit HT

Just IMHO, no real knowledge behind this line :)
