Doesn't work that way. Day 1's existing fails to deliver have day 2's new fails added to them and deliveries against day 1's fails subtracted....the result is reported as day 2's fails.
So the number is a rolling number. The number reported is not the number of new fails for the day, so adding them up is a meaningless exercise.
In other words, per your report, there were a total of 5,000 shares that hadn't been delivered as of 7/31. Obviously it's an insignificant number.
