Also 747 run on cycles
A check is preformed every 125 flight hours from what I read.

Doesn't matter. All that matters is that it passed it's heavy check last year and the plane has an outstanding safety record. IOW, the FAA said it's good to go for the next several years. By then, BLTA will have a fleet.

Remember, this isn't about one plane...it's about starting an airline.

1987 for the Boeing VC-25 (There are two of them.)

1979 for the Boeing 747-200 (N706BL)

These aircrafts can last for 50 years if well maintained. The VC-25 are often taken apart and review for inspection annually. Our tax money is paying for this type of maintenance.

FAA requires an aircraft of this size for commercials flights to undergo an inspection every x amount of cycles. Cycles are referred to take off and landings.

The N706BL has already been reviewed by FAA for life of airframe, and passed it. It is deem safe to fly, and the upgrades helped that. It also has brand new engines on it. So...we're good.
