Was it not a preliminary proxy that was released, no doubt to be finalized with details of the partnership or TO in the near future?
I am reminded of BMY's TO for MEDX shares to SHs---it had already acquired a certain amount of those shares.
Details of what I am thinking is lurking behind the preliminary proxy are still in formulation. The entity involved for example---could it legally be identified to us as Party X to maintain secrecy if that is desired or necessary at this point?
The scenarios I have portrayed as possible may be totally erroneous, or close to the mark. JBAIN asked initially what they[PPHM}was going to do with those shares. A number of us thought it was to finance trials[ATM] even though PPHM already had money to do some of that today.The purchase of the additional shares asked for in that preliminary proxy is another way of financing further trials in a partnership arrangement. A tender offer[TO] yet to be seen is yet another way. More later from everyone no doubt.
