OT...last one....You obviously dance to a slightly different tune than I. Some of my favorites were Brubeck, Shearing, Garner, Peterson, Gillespie, Baker, Davis, Getz, Parker, Mulligan, Kessel, DeFranco, Fountain, Brown, Hampton and a few dozen others. Saw them all in person more than once.
It all started with the Lucky Strike Hit Parade on radio, and back stage with Crosby, Andrew sisters, and others who we met through my cousin.
