#26877 RE: sixflags #26875

I keep asking myself about this. Firstly, I feel like all of these countries must be aware of the existence of ETD and have all done at least a bit of research. They've likely seen/heard/read about IMSC at some point. The market has been and will remain large. But, as I understand it, aren't these devices mostly deployed at security checkpoints (and, potentially, for cargo)? And for all the hypothesizing we've done about how we could use these for sporting events, concerts, mass gatherings, police stops and the like, is it really reasonable to say at this point that ETD could feasibly stem the occurrence of these terrorist one-offs? Don't get me wrong, these are tragedies and there might be ways to help slow or prevent them from a military standpoint--but as of now, I'm struggling to see how a 220 could actually aid in the war against lone wolves and isolated terrorist strikes unless the devices are literally everywhere (and we know that's not really reasonable, either). Someone feel free to take me to school on this--these attacks definitely bring awareness to the existence of terrorist threats, but I wonder how ETD could be practically, effectively used against them. (Still long, have been for a couple years, just looking for some insight.)
