In a nutshell : ...... (1) Odd lots are more expensive to fill, always. ...... Often MUCH MORE expensive . . . and, ...... (2) ODD LOTS are slower to fill. Often MUCH SLOWER. ...... Sometimes you can wait a few days to get a fill for an unusual amount of shares in a thinly-traded stock !
