Actually the answer is somewhere between you and BR. Denner doesn't run the board, but he believes he can work with them now with HB gone. The fact they all had to agree to not attend the AGM is a bit of proof of that. Last year they couldn't even sit together, and sat rows apart.
Still this legacy board has to be one of the very worst biotech has ever known. Built on cronyism, all of their decisions have been half baked and every stakeholder has suffered as a result. They must go.
