They are further than I had expected. The only thing now holding them back is the cost.

I believe that they produced a sample,based upon the information you provided (Good job, by the way :-) )

The rub lies in ALL the properties their claiming....

Such as machine washable,etc., etc.,

So the question would be how do they improve the properties, while attempting to lower the cost.

Their present "recipe" has brought them to this point in time....

But there's only so much one can do to lower the cost of the present process (recipe to fiber)....

Adding another chemical to the finished fiber may actually compromise its structural integrity.

It appears to be "trial and error" time.

Can they figure it all out by sometime in 2016?

Only time will tell.
