My son mentioned that he's getting pretty annoyed with Android and that he'd get an iPhone if he needed a phone right now. He's hoping that things get better with Android M. I was using iCloud Notes for a collaboration on an email response and he was a bit jealous of it. Google's equivalent app is Google Keep but it wants an internet connection and is a pain to use offline.
He'd be interested in a Windows Phone that could double as a light PC with KVM added if Microsoft fixed the privacy and bandwidth issues. I pointed out that there's still a big gap on Apps though maybe the Phone can run Android under Windows.
