dilleet

No matter who one was or what one posted on RB, one was accused of one thing or another--so don't worry about being a dirty little stock touter :).

I hope IIJi continues to do well also, and am tempted to sell here for a quick 40% gain. Did that with SINA, selling at between 9 and 10 and never looking back, not even when it dipped below 7 one day.

dilleet, let's not go there

investment boards are all about sharing investment ideas, bouncing ideas off one another, having a community of bright folks to poke and prod and play devil's advocate.

but when that devolves into contests of ego over who's stock picks were superior, or when the big winners crow at those who might not have done so well, we all lose. It should be o.k. for investors on a board to take opposite sides of a trade, have spirited, fact-based debate and discussion, yet avoid gloating or jabbing at one another in ways sure to eventually provoke a non-productive response.

You know darned well no one objected to you bringing the SINA investment idea to the AAPL RB board. And I think all involved would be thrilled to hear you present other investment ideas from time to time here on this board, provided that discussion doesn't wind up overwhelming the general focus of this board. And provided it doesn't wind up becoming the basis for a jab-fest.

Let's leave the detritus of RB at RB and move on. You can choose to keep digging at those scabs with off-hand references, but why?

Instead why not tell us more about how Apple helps you do what you do professionally. Share the "power user" skills you have. Talk to us about how you assess Apple's opportunities in the businesses and enterprises you work with. If/when Apple assembles a dual 2.0 Ghz Xserve, will we finally see Xserve sales gain traction?
