Not a bad analogy there Padrino. I've supported my Dallas Cowboys since their inception and always will; but I'm objective enough to know when they have a good team, a great team, or a really sucky team (even though I'll still support them in theory) Make sense?

I'm almost in total agreement with your comments re BO, but here's the thing: you will NEVER change the mind of a liberal or a conservative with calm, rational arguments (just like you'll never change my mind about the Cowboys). It's obvious there are many on this board who are conservative and it's very obvious that DoNotUnderstand is a lib (among some others) but trying to change anyone's mind is an exercise in futility. When I finally figured this out, I decided to become an independent, pragmatic, citizen and sit back and watch the freak show (it's more fun and much less stressful).

Whoever wins elections will be in power - like 'em or not -- that's the way our government is structured. In the meantime, let's hope FnF are released or win some court decisions because making money is what we are all here for.

Soooo, who got us us into the Great Recession, the Iraq War looking for WMD's, turned an annual surplus into a deficit and then more than doubled the national debt when they had a chance to pay it off. And under whose presidency did all the illegal and or poor lending activities occur that caused FandF to get in trouble? And The skill at handling Katrina and the loss of respect around the world?

The point is there are plenty of haters of GB2. Remember BO got elected twice with a popular majority both times (bush had a popular majority once) so you can call them all idiots or you can try and do what the GB2 haters also need to do, find out where there is agreement and work to solve problems. Almost all of the generalizations you used to describe BO were used to describe GB2. It may make you feel good to blame all our problems on BO and his supporters but it's No more true than blaming GB2 for everything and frankly it's naive in my opinion. I prefer to buy into the famous saying "I have met the enemy...and it is us".

As far as blaming BO for where Fannie is:don't we have a republican majority in both houses? Where's the leadership from them? I believe Dems and Reps both are feeding off the revs from Fannie and Freddie.
