The big difference between the Cray petaflops and Blue Gene petaflops is that Cray will be faster on non-parallel problems. It will have K8L, Vectors, FPGAs and any combination of these will be used to give the quickest answer, it will kick HPC butt ! OTOH Blue Gene will have 700MHz low-power PowerPCs chugging away ;-).
