Thank you for that information. However, since I already knew that was how the system works, I intentionally stated that it was not a busy day, and the MMs (probably ) had a supply on hand, given the prior volatility and the obvious walks down.
I'm not looking at a short term "short squeeze" only the understanding of the rationale of those wishing the shares would/will tank.
Also note there is a major discrepancy between FINRA's report and daily short reports. FINRA has a caveat about the accuracy of their report since they only "settle up" every two weeks which will skew the report.
