Thats true. And that is also the reason why Denner never lost money since he is in Aria. The problem with shorts in general is, they may be important for markets up to a certain point but if they bite on to a stock they can cause serious harm to it.
But a short squeeze will come here for sure.

Could you elaborate how that works?
If I owned 100 shares long and 50 shares short, why wouldn't I simplify and just own 50 shares long for I would have the same exposure. Perhaps there is a more sophiticated tactic that you know of that reduces risk? Also, at what PPS do you think the approximate 45 million shorts are priced at? Just curious for I have no idea and no idea why they are not covering with the consensus that Ariad is a "Buy" by almost all who are credible at the current level.
