SpiderPillar has been in it's "advanced stages" for quite some time....

BR is being mentioned a lot by Kim but he doesn't go into specifics....

I wouldn't be so quick to rule them out as possibilities, now that:

Who's to say there aren't specific clients on waiting lists for specified fibers?

"We" are stretching nothing....

Trade shows are not the only venue for interested parties to pursue.

There are phone conferences,scheduled face-to-face meetings, etc., to consider as possibilities.
