SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor will plan or direct accounting activities for Peregrine Pharmaceuticals personally or through subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise the Peregrine Accounts Payable staff • Responsible for the PPHM check runs on the 1st and 15th of each month including the review of account coding of all PPHM vendor invoices • Responsible for tracking all clinical and pre-clinical accruals/prepayments, and being the liaison between accounting and the clinical/pre-clinical departments • Maintain and account for Fixed Assets for both Peregrine and Avid. This includes entering the assets in the fixed asset system, coordinating CIP additions with project managers/ receiving, computing and posting monthly depreciation and recommending depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. • Prepare and file various state and local taxes • Accounting and maintenance of the common area maintenance entity (Franklin Maintenance Court) • Prepare monthly account reconciliations • Support the quarterly and annual audit/review work • Review and update SOX narratives as needed • Assist in the continuous process improvements of the Company's accounting and finance functions • Ad hoc analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting is required and MBA degree or CPA is highly desirable. • To qualify, you will need at least 5 years of industry experience in an organization with R&D or manufacturing operations. • Need a solid understanding of general accounting. • Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner and to manage an organization. • Must have strong management skills and be highly organized.
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint including advance Excel functions such as Vlookup, Sumif, pivot tables and other functions. • Knowledgeable with the concepts of database structure in order to create financial reports or other operational reports. • Proficient in an ERP environment or fully integrated system. Dynamics AX preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air may be required to attend meetings, out of state site visits, conferences, etc.

SUMMARY
The Manager/Sr. Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Quality Systems group. This role develops, implements and maintains quality assurance systems and activities including management of the document change control system, annual quality product review, quality system metrics review and quality risk management system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise a group of 3-4 direct reports • Review and approve controlled documents relating to processes, equipment, facilities and utilities in the manufacture of product • Provide technical assessment and approval for controlled document changes • Participate in deviation investigations and ensure deviations are thoroughly identified, defined and properly assessed • Interact with interdepartmental contacts on deviation assessment, resolution and quality approval • Coordinate and compile the annual quality product reviews • Identify, design, and implement process improvements • Provide input into the design and presentation of departmental quality metrics. • Serve as a Quality subject matter expert (SME) in support of department functions • Represent Quality Assurance on multi-disciplinary project teams • Participate in inspection preparation activities • Train personnel and internal customers on quality systems
QUALIFICATIONS
B.A. or B.S. degree (preferably in Life Science) is required with at least 7 - 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. Must have sound knowledge of cGMPs. The ability to interpret and relate Quality standards for implementation and review is essential along with the ability to make sound decisions about scheduling, allocation of resources and managing priorities. Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and verbally. Flexibility in problem solving, providing direction and work hours to meet business objectives is essential.
