I think their concern, which is mine as well, is that solar is expensive. Let's face it, it is. Our million-dollar contracts will take 25 years to save two-and-a-half million for the buyer, according to our press releases. The numbers vary by location, of course, but ten years is a long time for a return on the cost. After that, it becomes worth it. ASSUMING more money doesn't need to be allocated for panel repairs. (We have solar panels at my workplace in sunny Arizona, they're broken, and according to one of the corporate managers of this multi-billion-dollar company, "it's not cost-effective to fix them, and it was really more of an image thing.") He told me that face-to-face during a business trip. I'll spare their name. BUT.. If we get the 3D cell, the cost per kilowatt hour produced should decrease greatly, which would make solar a much more economic competitor. Oil may be dirty, but it's cheap and powerful. We need to make solar cheap and powerful in order for it to ultimately take oil's place and have our investments truly flourish in the long.
