But apparently SMS doesn't generate much revenue. One SMS distributor that Evaluate found on Facebook has tapped out.
The system is flawed - as it requires dealers to sell not consign the products to the smaller gift shops and convenience stores.
One of the big selling points from SMS is the following:
Business revenue starts from day one, no waiting to build a customer base. Retailers sell your products.
The one SMS dealer stated: "...people don't want to pay up front, they want on consignment which made it impossible to buy more inventory. Space in stores here are very limited. Had only 3 stores and it didnt work out for me."
It is a tough business model - and I suspect there are many more like Carol.
