Having worked for UTX I would certainly like them to gobble up CPST.....BUT....only at a much, much higher price...thus, in order for something like that to happen CPST has to show positive earnings which up to now are non existent.
CPST would compliment several of UTX divisions...Carrier (AC/Heating) and Otis (elevator)...They would again compete with likes of GE which also is in the energy industry as well as aircraft industry (UTX-Pratt Whitney).
Several other notes...IF UTX could get ahold of CPST they would make money out of it...no doubt in my mind and probably most all of the management would be gone. Second, a buyout of some sort would not affect any decisions currently (ie..split) as UTX does a lot of government contracting and certain protocols has to be followed...in other words it takes time but who knows!...ie...lets just not split the friggin stock (sorry, my votes are swaying my writing!.LOL)
