Another company trying to make CIGS viable. They plan to precisely deposit the various materials onto a 2 sq meter glass plate. The difficulty in accomplishing this is what drove Tom and XsunX to work on a much smaller scale......likely why they say that they are still several years away. It should be fun to watch.

Meanwhile, one Si module manufacturer claims to have lowered manufacturing costs to around $0.36 (Chinese subsidies involved here??), and several others are below $0.50....that's right now. $0.28 three years from now might not be so great. CIGS does have several advantages to Si, so there will definitely be a market for this if they can really get efficiencies up to where Si will be in three years.

Tom's interest in this is curious.....I wonder if any of his patents will go toward this venture? I wonder if some of the value we held in XsunX might have just been transferred to Siva Power? Hummmmm......

I may have read the article wrong.....I don't see that XsunX is involved with Siva in any way, other than hiring XsunX's ex-CTO.

Siva sure has put together a strong team. But I'll still need to see someone come up with a large-area deposition process that yields the efficiencies they are claiming they will achieve. $15 million goes pretty quickly and they will soon need more......are they for real?
