Ok, nanowires. Nothing new. All that seems to be said is that a variation compounds works well. Nano -wires/-rods have been at the center of this research for a long time, relatively speaking. HYSR scientists are most likely aware of it. I am not too worried by this. If anything it provides us with the knowledge that this avenue of research (solar fuels) is a serious one.
Very interesting work. However, there is no mention of being able to us any water source, so I'm guessing they have to use distilled water to ad void corrosion issues. The protective polymer really is where Hypersolar has a leg up on everyone.
