No, MDNT/Moon River is not related to FONU in any way.
FONU just decided to start doing business as (DBA) Moon River Studios, which seemed to make the Effingham IDA even think
(in the meeting minutes) that MDNT acquired FONU.
The IDA seems to prefer to NOT know anything about Moon River Studios. They even voted to not vet (investigate) whether Moon River was even viable and capable of taking on/financing the project. If they would have investigated, I think they might have kicked them to the curb long ago. Instead, they are getting deeper, and have even allowed a company (FONU) to take over a lease without having the maket cap (share value) required in the original lease agreement.
With the IDA burying its head in the sand, other backward-azz Georgia entities are following the same tact, it seems.
I guess they may not have read the article "Corkscrewed" in Forbes about Jake's failed attempt at building a wine empire.....LOL
