Interesting. I remember doing a lot of backtesting starting from different periods. AIMing gold was more likely to give better results.

Running both AIM's initially weighted 50-50 each and left as-is thereafter produced a combined smoother (more central average) gain progression and more consistent 50/50 weightings of total gold and total stock exposure over time.



I bet the above would yield similar results to AIMing with 50% vealie both on the buy and sell side, pretty much like 50% constant weighting with 5-10% band rebalancing.

What is your opinion on actually implementing such an stock+gold or gold+stock AIM machine at this point in time?
