No he didn't HAVE to do that and he never claimed he HAD to do it to take the tax loss. READ what he posted. Exactly.

He did it to get it off his books - not as a requirement to take a tax loss. And he never said that stack had gone Chapter 7 either.

SPNG has. It is over and officially worthless with zero assets.
