Bskjohnson, as usual, great points to ponder from your post. If Nigeria's next presidento is the current VP, there is a strong relationship between himself and Offor. Putting a "home team" in the Niger Delta could work toward eliminating all the serious problems in this neighborhood. Of course, some of the money will have to go to the locals to truely make it work.

I would think, however, that SNP would be itching to take a large stake in this co to keep it more under their wing....and few could keep up with the $$$$ they can bring to the table AND will bring to the table to secure their countries security.

STP wasn't immediately fond of allowing Addax into block 4, but that could be the result of APC's prodding for the acreage.

Very good point that the current acreage (JDZ and STP EEZ) could keep drillers busy for the next 10 years. A beautiful thing in the JDZ where 50% of their costs are recooped.

Your comment of ERHC'ers being pleased with Addax's PR dept. Oh yeah.....their latest report is extremely professionally layed out and clear. I'd be proud to have a piece of that like you've mentioned.

Great post.

Bsk. Enjoyed reading your post as usual. Addax would be an excellent partner and they are more technically advanced than Sinopec.

If the US and US big oil do not try to push ERHC into a corner to have to go to Sinopec that would be fine.

I don't know if it is a "made up crisis" or just business as S. Freed says that puts ERHC in the position of promoting China's oil assets.

I think the China oil exploration threat is MUCH OVERDONE as the evidence shows.

But Washington loves to have "problems to attempt to solve." and people love to read headlines about themselves and their fields.

I like your scenario of a lot of different companies wanting to bid on an ERHC-ADDAX combo.

Thanks for posting this up, bskjohnson.

I think the prospect of an Addax/erhe marriage is very appealing. It could solve a lot of problems going forward.
