Dude, the real reason I can't take a loss here is that I didn't have a loss.

I do have a few shares left in TD Ameritrade account which they will not remove because they are being held hostage by the global lock down.

sorry drugmanx, but those two sentences completely contradict one another. if you own shares in SPNGQ, then you have a loss.

it doesn't matter if you traded SPNGQ for a profit before it was locked. the shares currently in your account are a loss.

Hey, man - that's simply wrong. Butt if you want to believe that baloney, then lose your tax loss. Fine with me. If you want to not take advantage of a legal tax loss writeoff you can certainly choose to give the money to Uncle Scam.

Butt that choice doesn't change the FACT that SPNG is a worthless security and has been so since the Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy.

Lots of people decide not to take deductions they're entitled to. Why? Laziness, ignorance, or wanting to fund the government by willfully paying more in tax than they owe.

What's curious about it? Many people here have been warning people about this scam from almost day one. Once the legal issues are put to bed and the stock is revoke it will be the end.

Most brokerages have a program where you are allowed to surrender useless positions in order to take your loss.

For such a worthless position, there are a lot a individuals still monitoring this board.
