That has been my concern all along. From what I have read, they are to be wholly owned by Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. SOUNDS good.

That's the single GSE mortgage security. (investor side, bonds) It won't affect our common stocks. I know it was confusing with the last update in May, because they kept just throwing around the words single security. Here's just one article a while back talking about pros/cons of it.

This idea of one security is totally impossible within that time frame. It would take years to convert.
