But tell me did he not increase his common shares in a substantial way, to just over 1 billion again?

He may have...part of the deal when he turned in the billion shares was that he would be compensated with "equivalent" value of financial instruments. As far as I know, we were never informed WHEN and WHAT the compensation would be.
