I don't think Merkel is as big a problem as Alexis. She was the one calling Alexis trying to coax him to accept a deal all along. She was his best supporter along with Junctor.
Also, consider she went along with all the concession EU made to Greece to resolve dead locks.
Alexis tactic and accusations, name calling and misrepresenting deals to his people has burned those bridges.
Look at the big picture, is Greece better off today with Alexis as PM? Will Greece fair better in future negotiates with Alexis and Yanis?
