Unless something major is announced prior to or during the CC, yes....manipulation will likely continue until we hear either the second look in numbers or some other news comes out.
If the sun was setting we would be down MORE than 1.5% today :-) This feels more like traders buying/ selling on the ASCO event. To be honest I won't mind waiting a year for a buyout or HUGE news or a big paying partner. Taxes would be horrendous for me if it comes too early.
Back to the ATM dilution - my guess is that those shorting or engaging in event trading, attempt to get more longs to sell their shares by scare tactics of dilution. In reality, if my calculation is correct we haven't had much dilution this quarter. I'm also suspecting that the quarterly report this month is expected by traders to move the price up.
