Bill...I think this might be the 'Full-screen QD-display' article you're looking for, which was coincidentally reposted by Blanka yesterday: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=115068194

That's exactly what I was talking about yesterday on the bottom of my post #39191.

Or does QMC have a trick up their sleeve and did they develop their own tech in collaboration with display manufacturers that works around the QDV and Nanosys patents? Are current QDLED models just a stepping stone to QLED? I'm sure they are... We haven't seen the last of new quantum dot tech yet I think...

When I wrote this I has the tech you are talking about in my head, but I also forgot where I read it...

This would be a real blow to both QDV and Nanosys...

Good post!

Good stuff!

Always glad to hear from ya!!

Dolby Vision: It's been the talk in the film journals for a year or so, video cameras are readily capable of 4k and 8k already and utilizing the technology.

Actually the film, out in the late spring, "Tomorrowland" utilized Dolby Vision.
Even though the film did not have the greatest reviews, the cinematography (visually) was stunning if you saw it in the right theatre, so as to see the high dynamic range.

If my memory is correct; I think Vizio and VUDU are partnering on Dolby Vision. There was a press release back…….early spring (?).

A white paper to peruse.

If QMC can help with that…… were off to the races, because it's not just the future it's already here.
