Aren't companies who do rs just asking for their sp to implode?

Remember it is about the Market Cap and not the price per share.

In a reverse split,the number of shares changes,but the market cap of the company remains the same.

yeah, 36 million is all fine and good if you are not already a shareholder, unless crazy enough to dump even more money into this after the split, because the price will go down after the split. The problem is they want to do the RS so they can again (after again and again) sell even more shares.
