Are you Brian Brewer?

Brian M. Brewer is director of marketing and communications for the Cancer Research Institute. In this role, he helps the organization shape and promote its marketing, development, and media relations activities, with emphasis on refining the organization's brand and raising its profile in a highly competitive space. He also seeks to secure new corporate and other nonprofit partners for cause-branded marketing opportunities. Prior to this role, he was the grants program administrator at CRI from 2001-2006. From 1998-2001, he was assistant to the executive director.

Over his 15 years at CRI, Brian has developed an appreciation for the dedication and hard work of his fellow CRI staff members. His responsibilities across various departments in the organization in that time have given him insight into the importance of every team member toward supporting the organization's mission.

Brian graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Theater Arts, cum laude, is a member of the National German Honorary Society (Delta Phi Alpha), and is an alumnus of the American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service (expected May 2016).

"My love of CRI comes from the organization's unique focus on the immune system—it's the coolest science there is when it comes to cancer. Immunotherapy is helping save people’s lives, and this is just the beginning. I'm also impressed by the professionalism and dedication of every single CRI staff member. It's a joy to work here." — Brian

Thanks for posting this. I had never seen Wolchok before, either and I guess his youth and 'look' surprised me! Fascinating info, glad to see we were mentioned at all.

RRDog, thanks. At least it proves Dr. Wolchok knows Bavi and anti-PS and does not just have his name mentioned on the PPHM PR as a marketing stunt in the Memorial Sloan Kettering collaboration with PPHM.

And if you got that question in there, then: Great work!

The interviewer is MSK’s head of corporate communications, so you would think he would know how to pronounce Bavituximab. (He called it bevacizumab, which is the generic name for Avastin.)

Just another example of how so many things connected with or within PPHM is so Mickey Mouse and unprofessional. If he was jet-lagged or sedated, then maybe, just maybe.
