That's the point. There wasn't turmoil in his life...if ERHC was going under that would have been turmoil. But clearly he's going to retire a very wealthy man.

He probably knew that before popping the marital question.

As to your first question...

...remember that Chrome did not file their Form 4 when they converted the CD's.

When the stock plunged...there was a TON of volume. Someone was buying on the open market and did not have to scoop up the CN's at all.
