I would caution anyone against automatically converting a forward looking statement into a done deal when the stated time has elapsed. The only way it would be safe to conclude the note was zeroed out is if there was an 8K stating so; which there is not.
This is how crooks like Brent trick people, they give them limited information and allow them to come up with their own assumptions. I would also caution against purchasing $30k in stock when the CEO himself only owns $300.00
