A reverse split is actually one of my fears and has been one of the main reasons why I am still wondering if / when I should reinvest.
For me a reverse split almost always has a very negative connotation (not always, but often)...a lot of scummy penny stocks do an R/S with no intention of actually acting on it...and as you correctly pointed out the price just falls and the shareholder stands there with less shares and a decreasing share price..
In any case if someone reputable like Mike would come out and say that there will be no R/S for a certain amount of time that would actually help a lot IMO.
R/S of course can be helpful eventually but it needs to be utilized as supporting tool...see OCAT (once ACTC) for example which I believe used it as preperation for the uplisting to NASDAQ (not quite sure, havent followed the company for a while)
