In all the verbage on the Scanbuy Shopper, it says nothing about using a cell phone to take a picture of a bar code. So it looks like they have decided to cooperate and back down to NeoMedia's Intellectual Property ... After all, they're patent applications did get rejected.

It appears they can get around NeoMedia's patents by having consumers manually type in a products barcode number, which will link the consumer to an updating internal database ... Possibly not link to the actual Internet.

Hmmmm, interesting indeed.

they are not taking a picture..looks like a lot of trouble to get the info.




On SCANBUY Shopper’s main menu, click on new search to start a product search and enter the barcode number of the product you are searching
