U.S. now sending "advisers" to Iraq - can you say, Viet Nam? It's a civil war and sure sounds like someone got to Def Sec'ty Ash Carter and told him to shut the hell up - his honest, straight-talking appraisal of the Iraqi military was not appreciated in DC.
As I said in the past, Pres Obama will leave the Iraqi mess for the next president just as it was dumped in his lap by the previous president.
Why any parent would encourage their son/daughter to volunteer for the U.S. military is beyond me - the defense industry roams the halls of Congress and pays for campaigns!
