I don't think boys are given a public pat on the back. Privately maybe. Virility IS a big thing among fathers and sons. (I roll my eyes in horror) Personally, I think I'd have to kill my son if he were to father a child before he was settled in. LOL!
But he and his girlfriend seem to be pretty responsible to that end.
As for the rest, I'm right there with ya!
Especially the part about staying home with your kids while they are young. I think that is crucial.
