Disagree with getting nothing

Maybe I'm naive...but I feel like we may get something out of this ordeal. Penny stock or not...it's unreal to get a flat zero out of an investment. Do I anticipate getting everything back to where it was before? Absolutely not. But to get zero? That's hard for me to comprehend

I have a few questions:

1) What is the difference between an unsecured creditor versus a shareholder? How are they (unsecured creditors) bidding for a chunk of the company's assets in these bankruptcy proceedings?

2) Do the previous board of directors (Ken Reali, Paul LaViolette) totally lose out in their investments with Baxano going bankrupt?
