Yes, that is Mr. Gary Ball's patent AVTX's patent, he stole from Hughes..hahaha, I am sure they are sorry they sold it to him but "too bad, so sad". He is a PIA but you have to love the scientist...that is what he is...not a businessman though he is not too bad at that either. The insurance companies will be STRONGLY suggesting EVS, this EVS, not synthetic the one that is limited, sees through fog, Mr. Balls EVS is the ONLY one FAA certified and that sees through FOG.
Let's see, plane goes down, 240 people on board, NO EVS...negligence in the courts since EVS what available and they did not have it. EVS will be the Standard of Aviation Safety...OK, let's see ...240 lives lost X $500,000.00 per body, or a million per corpse. However you multiply it, it is MILLIONS, MANY MILLIONS if a plane goes down in bad visibility.
Seems to me that insurance companies would give a BIG discount to companies using Kollsman EVS systems.

That new generation Kollsman EVS we shall hear about will be easier to install/retrofit. Can't wait till the airshows are done...I just might go to the Orlando show.
