Me again we actually are threatening to blow out the upper band of the Bollinger and the 10ma is only 0.06 behind 20ma now. These matters are more important than the number imo---we have gone about 96 days with 10ma below 20ma, a cross over be a big deal because that is watched more closely than any aspect of VIX, the 10ma/20ma relationship the most important aspect of the VIX.
hear is 3 year chart and you will see that a tight bollinger tends to explode upwards when there is a turn.
