So with Reichental purchasing 5000 shares means $DDD is a good investment? With what I see in Additive Industries new 3D printer in having predictive technology and in-process QA, $DDD is out-matched. I do not see $DDD having any products with viability.

Look at the recent events at 3D Systems. Former CFO Ted Hull was fired on 05/15 and Reichental Acquires 5,000 Shares on 05/17. Reichental buying only 5000 at the current PPS while holding 1.6M. 3D Systems have missed forecasts consecutively over many quarters and Reichental's move is cause for concern. I see Reichental purchasing only 5000 a bad indication. 1.6M vs 5000 So no, insider buying is not always a good sign. Aslo, there's a pattern with Reichental. He appears to sell approximately 3 months after acquiring shares off market.

As Sigma Labs is concerned, they continue working with leaders in the industry. This recent announcement is quite interesting in that SGLB collaborated with Additive Industries, which in turn, enlists Brent Stucker in company. Both were present and lectured at Additive World Conference in March 2015.

Brent Stucker spearheaded ASTM F42 in 2009 - 2014. Cola, Dave, Stucker are all accomplished intellects. Would I discount any one of them? Certainly not. I just don't see how insider trading has anything to do with success. Again, see 3D System's case.

alanthill, any thoughts yet? I want to see how you have a direct correlation between insider acquisition of shares and company success. I'm at a total lost in 3D System's case. There are obstacles to overcome for AM to be an industrial success, and according to your principles, Reichental purchasing of 5000 shares should garner a success for 3D Systems. Please explain these correlations.

And to really see how 3D Systems really became a "success" (or most publicly traded company in the 3D realm for that matter), listen to Joris Peels as he speaks the truth:
