Anyone could sponsor a roundtable on I-O if they were willing to pay the participants’ fees.

{{the pphm roundtable includes a pro-bavi doctor who a poster here essentially said is a dope (Antonia), while he was playing the popular sport of delegitimizing anything pphm does or claims, and the roundtable also includes 3 sloan kettering folks, who don't tend to get trashed.

i posted the release because it does represent an effort by pphm to have them included in the checkpoint discussion, something several people here have found to be laughable till now. we'll see.}}

Abe, it is fine to host a round table and to even have someone who likes Bavi. Regardless of how effective or ineffective Bavi is, it appears to be target only one aspect of T-cell suppression, meaning tumors can easily suppress T-cell activation by other means, like expression of PD-L1. I haven't seen any data showing Bavi efficacy as a single agent, which makes sense given tumors can still suppress the T-cell response. Opdivo and the anti-PDL1 drugs are checkpoint inhibitors that act directs to releases inhibition of T-cells allowing them to recognize and attack tumors, which why they have been effective in trials as a single agent.
